Yesterday I climbed a statue in the rain in the dark in the cloud
I sat alone and I swung my feet and I watched my shadow on the ground
The day before I sat on a rooftop in the rain in the dark in the cloud
I sat alone and I watched how the street swept up dust
and now I'm perched in the limb of a tree in the rain in the dark in the cloud
I watch the birds with their pointing beaks
Peck at the feet of the crowd
the crowd
the crowd
Sometimes when I look for something in somebody else
I realize their is nothing more in anyone but myself
Three days ago I found it in me to punch out a pole by the road
Over and over and over again I swung my hand at the wood
Everything I hate swam before me and I became rage
Anger the pure energy so unforgiving in my head
All I want to do is float through the city with you
All i want to do is be by the train tracks near the warehouse at night
Hold my head near the shadow of my feet as they dangle form the Pointing statue in the dark
In the cloud
In the dark
In the rain
In the dark
Sometimes when I look for something in somebody else
I realize their is nothing more in anyone but myself
Hold my void, under your arm,
It won't save you if you fall, from the statue in the park.
